2023 Wrapped: Wildflower Academy

2023 was a big one for Wildflower Academy.

As we continue to evolve and grow, we’re constantly working to improve your experience, the information supplied and the ways in which we can help our clever florist members expand and grow in their businesses and skills!

Here's just a taste of what the past 12 months looked like for us: 

Early on in the year, we invited a select group of Flower Wranglers to our "En Plein Air" workshop, creating a decadent floral ground nest in the beautiful grounds of Krinklewood Winery. Ash and Varnie shared their top foam-free tips, talked sustainability and demonstrated the design process, before everyone grabbed a bucket of locally grown blooms and got their hands dirty making some floral magic. Wildflower members took full advantage of the early bird perks and discount code and snagged all of the limited tickets to this once in a lifetime workshop.

Our Monthly Modules were introduced and we started doing deep dives into topics that our members were most interested in learning about. Some of our favourites were: The Freelance Module, Instagram Month (we expanded it to 2 months due to high demand!), The Christmas Module and TikTok Month.

Speaking of TikTok Month, we invited 4 florists who are KILLING it on TikTok right now, to share their stories on how this marketing platform has completely transformed their businesses and lives. These florists, Bryce from September Studio, Rosie from Know The Rose, Bronte from The Flower Posse and Maddie Jayne, opened up completely about their progress, their wins, the techniques they use and also shared a step-by-step tutorial on how they create their signature videos. It's been so fun seeing many florists using the tips in their own way to grow their TikTok followings.

We doubled our Wildflower Community and saw so many of our members connecting with friends, offering tips and resources, sharing heart-wrenching fails and huge wins, giving support and building each other up. Running a business can be so lonely and the community is honestly my absolute favourite feature of the Wildflower Membership. To give back to the amazingly generous members within this special space, we started a ‘Member of the Month’ initiative where we select a flower friends within the group who have been a standout human and deserve a free month within the Membership.

‘Blossom Banter’ was introduced and we began Live Coaching Sessions that align with our Monthly Modules. A live Q&A where you can tune in, ask questions, share stories and hang out with a group of awesome flower friends. These are so fun for everyone involved and offer another level of accountability and proximity to incredible, passionate flower lovers.

An Honourable mention to our Autumn Bouquet workshop, our 1:1 Design Day's and of course, the many 1:1 Mentoring calls. It’s been a FULL year! Can you imagine what 2024 is going to bring?
